Classes and Workshops
The Southeastern Iowa SBDC offers classes for entrepreneurs and business owners on a wide range of business topics.
For the entrepreneur, we offer classes from business feasibility and writing the business plan to the nuts and bolts of running a business.
For those already in business, we provide workshops and classes that help you improve your skills in managing a growing business.
Do you know how you are going to exit your business? Will you sell, hand your business over to a family member, or grow the business to go public? The truth is, many small business owners have no exit strategy for their business in the event of retirement, disability, or even death. It isn't surprising that many business owners focus their energies on business survival and future growth, and give little thought or planning for a business exit. This workshop will address 5 exit strategies and steps to be taken with each option. You owe it to yourself to have an exit strategy.

Where is your business today? Where would you like it to be in three years and how do you get it there?
This Kauffman Foundation workshop, designed for small business owners, will help you evaluate and measure your personal and business strategies. You will determine your goals, evaluate where the business is in its life cycle, utilize planning tools, determine transition tactics and develop a transition plan.
