Scholarships
Every student should consider applying for scholarships.
Periodically SCC's Financial Aid Office is notified of scholarships offered through third party donors such as civic organizations, churches, professional groups, and social clubs. We compile this information into a handy Scholarship Reference Guide located below.
The number of scholarships located on the reference guide varies greatly depending on the time of year. Check back often to insure you're informed of the most recent scholarships additions.
Please keep in mind that the deadlines and eligibility requirements for each scholarship are not determined by SCC.

SCC also awards thousands of dollars in scholarships through our Foundation Office. This may be the best resource for scholarships if you're planning on attending SCC. For additional information concerning these scholarships, see our Foundation Office.
There are many free scholarship databases online that could help you obtain cash for college. The key word is "free" when you're considering using one of these resources. To help you identify a couple good databases, we've included a couple on our Financial Aid Links webpage.
ATTENTION: Students will not be allowed to utilize scholarship funds to pay for tuition and books until the funds have been delivered to SCC by the scholarship donor. Simply providing an award notification to SCC is not enough; the scholarship funds must also be provided.
