The deadline for submitting Fall 2013/Spring 2014 Foundation scholarship applications passed at 4:30 p.m. CST, April 1, 2013. Award decisions will be decided by June 1, 2013. Recipients will be notified in writing. The next deadline for SCC Foundation Scholarships is October 1, 2013 for Spring 2014 awards only. There will be a limited number of awards and dollars available. A revised application will be posted again around June 1, 2013.

We also encourage all students to seek additional scholarship assistance at www.fastweb.com. This site is a comprehensive scholarship listing and matching service.

Please note that for one-time per academic year emergency grant needs of up to $200, contact SCC SuCCess Center Director, Melissa Derr at mderr@scciowa.edu regarding the Yohe Emergency Retention Fund (for West Burlington Campus students) and Keokuk Campus Dean, Teresa Garcia at tgarcia@scciowa.edu for the Chuck Peters Emergency Retention Fund (for Keokuk Campus, Fort Madison and Mount Pleasant Center students). Documentation of need and attempts to secure other funding are required. No direct-to-student grants are provided. Assistance can be applied only to SCC tuition or books or to another third party only if an invoice is presented(e.g., from a landlord, car repair business, babysitter, etc.). The purpose is to help remove an obstacle that keeps a student from attending classes.
